Going to Ozzie

A few years ago  I went Australian holidaying. Mum,Dad and I travelled all over the north of australia looking for the best places to go and have fun in the fun parks.
My family went to heaps of places like : Australia Zoo, Sea World, Movie World , White Water World, Australian Wildlife Adventure, Wet,n, Wild . Unfortunately my whanau and I only had a few weeks to be in Australia so we tried to do as many things as possible and one of my fave things in aussie was at movie world, the things that happened were the batman show which was awesome because they had the actual batmobile and batboat on site.

Cycle safety & Raz rides for the first time!

clean your bike so it won't get rusty.
you should alway wear a helmet.
control your wheels.
liked going to cycle safety.
every time your  wheels are flat pump them up.

safe on your bike with a helmet.
alway go on the road them you won't hate any one .
find a bike thats not too big for you.
every day go on your bike then it won't get rusty .
turn to the right gears.
you can go on the road then you won't get  in the way of the people.

At our parent interviews I found out about one of our students winning their first race in a sport that they are really passionate about. Can you guess who it is??

Going To China Then To LA

The next trip that my mum, my nan and myself are going to is China because all of us have nearly been all around the world! The other reason is because my aunty Donna is going a week before us so then we just have to stay with her while we are going to be there with her.

The stuff we are going to is go to the Great Wall Of China, shopping and Terrocota Soldiers and lots more I think! In L.A we are going back to the Old Navy, this nice as ice cream cart, this shop that is awesome that is called Lalaland and we are going to see my other aunty called Jane and my naughty boy cousins called Memphis and  Denzel. When I was there last we played soccer and I kicked the ball over the fence on to the road.

Mac the super dog, my best friend

A few years ago one of the worst things happened to me, my best friend Mac the dog died. My faithful mate died of causes such as old age and sickness. When I heard, I was devastated that he had died so quickly so I got to work with crying straight away. After the crying I asked my Mum if I could send a message to my cousins, Auntie and Uncle to say how sorry I was for the death of their's and my great partner.

After days of grieving for Mac I knew I would remember him for the rest of my life

Interschool Athletics

Today I went to the Interschool Athletics with many other Glenholme students.The events were 100m, 200m, 60m, 800m, Relays, Vortex, Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump.I competed in Shot Put and  was the reserve for Vortex. I was feeling shy before I did my throw because I was late for my event. I went to go buy me a sausage sizzle and an ice block and the person who was taking the Shot Put had already called my name out. I felt embarrassed too!

I wanted to get a placing and I came 3rd. I felt weird because I had to do all my throws at once because I was late but I felt proud of myself. I was relieved that I didn't have to do the vortex.

There were lots of different schools at athletics, everyone was cheering for our school. It was a great day and I am very tired from all the events.

A Burning Accident

On a Friday evening in January a fire started on Puriri Cresent. My Mum was the first one to ring the Fire Brigade and the ambulance because we were across the road in our front yard. This fire was started in the kitchen and spread through the whole house. A man was pulled out of the burning house and sent to hospital with burns and pain. The fire lasted for about three hours and took a long time for the Fire Brigade to put it out. It was really, really scary for me because I've never seen a house on fire before but... now I have.

The Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami.

On Friday the 11th of March, an Earthquake struck Japan.  After the Earthquake struck a Tsunami started.  It was very big and alot of people got stuck in it.  There was an article that said there was a 60 year old man who was floating on top of a big piece of wood and survived.  Some people died while the earthquake happened.  Alot of people are helping people in Japan and have been fundraising money for them so they can rebuild their homes.

Athletic Days....

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had our Middle and Senior Teams Athletic Days here at School.

We had the following events going:

High Jump, Long Jump, Shotput, Cricket ball throw, Vortex, 60m, 100m, 200m races & Shuttle Runs.

There were a lot of students out there participating and lots of parents came along to watch and support their child/ren. Whaea Lisa was extremely proud of the C1 students because they behaved very well and a lot of them have made it into the Interschool team to represent our school......thats AWESOME.
